  • The short film has been produced to a proficient technical standard of skill in shooting and editing.  
  • There is some degree of confidence in the use of the camera equipment and
  • the sequence has been edited to make sense and attempt to build tension.
  • There is some imagination with a mixture of shot sizes that are engaging, used to create variety and
  • show significance though meaning.
  • There is expression of meaning through angles.
  • There is some use of artificial or natural lighting to generate mood, but limited to some shots and not consistent
Distinction
  • The short film has been produced to an overall excellent technical standard and reflects near-professional practice.
  • Cinematography contains a variety of appropriate and purposeful shot sizes and camera angles and
  • some well composed framing to create meaning and mood,
  • shooting skills are creative and consistent  across the sequence.
  • Non-linear editing techniques are employed intentionally and thoughtfully to fit with the narrative.
  • Continuity is adhered to throughout the edit and you are able to maintains flow across shots.
  • Although natural lighting has be used, this has been colour graded creatively to generate mood and to add to the realism.
  • You may have used articial lighting to create low key lighting and suitable mood
